Broghies Recipe

Ingredients

  • - 1 cup wheat flour or masa corn flour
  • - 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - Water as needed for dough consistency
  • - Optional toppings: chopped vegetables dips, spreads

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour (or masa) and salt. Gradually add water, mixing until a smooth dough forms. The dough should be pliable but not sticky.
  • Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball. Flatten each ball between your palms to form a thin disc.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once hot, place the flattened dough onto the skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned and cooked through.
  • Remove the cooked Broghies from the skillet and let them cool on a wire rack. Repeat the process with the remaining dough, adding more water if necessary to maintain the right consistency.
  • Once cooled, serve your Broghies warm or at room temperature with your choice of toppings or dips. Broghies are a versatile option for various meals, making them a great choice for diet-friendly products].
