Mexican Pile On Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1-3 cans of tomato sauce
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic salt
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 can chili beans
  • 2-4 cups cooked rice
  • Cheese shredded

Instructions
 

  • In a large frying pan, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic salt, chili powder, and the tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, and tomato paste. Let it simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors.
  • Add the can of chili beans to the meat mixture, stirring well to incorporate. Continue to cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • If using a crockpot, transfer the meat mixture into the crockpot and cook on low for 4 hours. If using the stovetop, keep the mixture warm after cooking.
  • Prepare your serving area by laying out the cooked rice or Fritos as a base.
  • Allow guests to create their own plates by layering the meat mixture on top of the rice or Fritos, followed by shredded cheese and their choice of toppings.
